Yorkshire born and bred, Nick was fortunate enough to come from an incredibly supportive and loving family who to this day are hugely instrumental in all his success. They even supported him 100% when he took up the peculiar obsession of bodybuilding and all things to do with the fitness and human performance. That was at the ripe old age of 12 years and earned Nick the apt if initially frustrating (to him) sobriquet of Arnie from his schoolmates for the rest of his teenage days.
Ten years of Bradford Grammar School was followed by a degree in English Literature and then Law School, where as the bodybuilding barrister Nick defied pigeon holing in much the same way as he still does today. Careers in both the law and finance followed in London, Vancouver and Prague, but always there was the love of exercise, strength and conditioning. Even whilst pursuing a demanding high pressure international career, he coached himself and many others to success on the sporting fields, in the gym, and even on the bodybuilding stage, earning legendary NHL and multi Olympic medal winning Strength Coach Charles Poliquin’s words of praise that Nick is one of the very few coaches in Europe who can truly walk the talk.

When he finally succumbed to the inevitable and decided to pursue his passion without the distraction of outside business interests, success was swift and seemingly inevitable. We may write seemingly, but Nick himself would wholeheartedly disagree with that his philosophy is that persistence and hard relentless effort are the only real secrets to success and that he owes his stellar reputation to nothing less than sheer dogged graft and determination.
Established now as the leading personal trainer and conditioning coach in the United Kingdom, and based in London with his personal training and performance enhancement company Ultimate Performance, Nick’s roster of clients, whose livelihoods depend upon being in peak physical shape, speaks volumes for his ability to do the only thing that really counts in any business deliver results. Increasingly sought after for his opinions on all matters pertaining to health and fitness, he is a regular public speaker at motivational conferences, frequently quoted in numerous national publications as well as being a widely read author in his own right via the scores of articles he has published, excerpts from his upcoming book on forging the ultimate physique, and as the fat loss / muscle building guru for the hugely popular global website AskMen.com.
