		<description>King Jake,

I was under the impression that carb loading just one meal every five days would only replenish the lost glycogen in just your left mandible muscle.

Seriously, I of course know the Poliquin carbohydrate cycling theory of one carb up every 5 days, but remember that is for folks with average muscle mass and impaired insulin sensitivity. If you take a hard training, generally carb tolerant man who is over 200lbs (in the case of my client above we are actually talking about a 255lb guy at 15% BF), then one carb meal every 5 days will drive him into the ground in no time at all. If he was using anabolics and GH then maybe he could survive, but not for a (as in this case) natural athlete. In these circumstances I am for a far more gentle form of carbohydrate cycling than just one carb meal every five days. Don&#039;t forget how psychologically tough that can be too. We want athletes / personal training clients who are able to follow our protocols.
