100% I would say quality. With supplements, as with personal trainers, you get what you pay for. Actually that's wrong - if something is expensive it doesn't mean it is necessarily great, but if its cheap it is usually rubbish!

Thanks. The caps were an own brand from a health food store the fish oil liquid came from Myprotein.

I have found that reducing dose has helped. Maybe increase was too quick? Does seem to be a common, in the loose sense of the word, issue. But quality or slight allergy seems to be the most common suggested causes.

What brands have you been using as perhaps it is a quality issue? Certainly it is nothing I have come across when giving literally thousands of people Poliquin fish oil.

In terms of flax versus fish oil, I am not really a fan. You need to be pretty lean in the first place to get the right benefit from flax as otherwise it can impair insulin sensitivity. That said, if you are looking for a good overall oil blend then you can't go far wrong with Udo's Ultimate Oil Blend. I use it myself daily, especially when in a dieting phase as I am currently in.

Here's an odd question (and judging by a "google" search I am not alone). I have been supplementing with Fish Oils now for a few weeks.

Initially I used capsules which only had 300mg Omega 3 per 1000mg capsules. I found they gave me headaches. So I thought it could be the "other" content in the capsules so I changed to a liquid that gives about 800mg per 5mls.

I only take two 5mls at a time so approx 1.6grams of omega 3 and it gives me a headache.

Have you come across this with any clients? Is there a good alternative to fish oil. I know some have said flax oil but some have also said you can't get the omega 3 out of it as easily as you can fish oil. (god knows if this is true).

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
