Good points... I've worried about this sort of crap before to the point where it becomes so complicated that it doesnt seem worth it. Since I stopped worrying and instead followed these basics, I've lost fat and gained muscle:
- Eat a clean diet. High protein, low or moderate carbs. No cake, no booze, lots of veg.
- Sleep well, get at least 8 hours in.
- Train hard. Three gorilla weight training sessions a week and moderate cardio five times a week.
- Be patient. I've seen 2lb of lard fall away each week which was MORE than when I did stress about it. Stress makes fat stick to you like an f'in magnet.

Basically worrying achieved nothing apart from eventually causing me to give up a few times. However keeping it simple but consistent has had great results for me.

Dan
